Workshop 3

This series of three (3) consultations will be conducted by the Oddside Arts teams, community consultants, and visual artists attached to the Lawrence Heights public art project.

An adaptation of the Shifting the Soil workshop, these consultations aim to prompt community members to think about the way public art may represent their culture, heritage, and experiences. In this interactive workshop, participants will be asked to draw patterns and symbols following a series of prompts regarding public art. After patterns and symbols are drawn following each prompt, participants will be asked to share the meaning behind their drawings and how this connects to future artistic presences in Lawrence Heights.

• Date: October 12, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
• Location: Lawrence Heights Community Centre – 5 Replin Rd, Dance Studio 2
• These workshops are meant for Lawrence Heights and Neptune residents.
• There will be a small honorarium for participants.
